Let's Talk Powder Rooms, Darlings!

A bijou of a space in a corner of your home can be the bougie of the house. Yep. You read that right! Most powder rooms I’ve personally come across tend to be the tiniest of rooms in a household, which is why I believe you should go ALL. OUT.

Given that it is the least trafficked zone, small in scale (usually) and very straight to the point, it has potential for major impact. Think about the experience you want to give your guests as they as the walk in. It’s all about first (and lasting) impressions. Think of it like a secret door that takes you some place magical, or a music box that evokes so many emotions. Think NARNIA! Ok, maybe I’m letting my imagination get the better of me, but the point is, go for the unexpected and unleash your most daring design fantasies and don’t think twice about whether or not it flows with the rest of your home.

So, how do you go all out? Consider these indulgent ideas:

  • Statement Wallpaper: Think bold patterns, luxurious textures (like grasscloth or velvet), or even a captivating mural.

  • Dramatic Lighting: Forget the basic and opt for a glamorous chandelier, chic sconces, or a unique pendant light that acts as a focal point.

  • Eye-Catching Mirror: A large, ornate mirror or a uniquely shaped one can instantly elevate the space.

  • Luxurious Countertop and Sink: Consider marble or even a vessel sink that looks like a piece of sculpture.

  • High-End Fixtures: Invest in quality faucets and hardware with a beautiful finish.

  • Art and Accessories: Don't neglect the details! A striking piece of art, a beautifully scented candle, or a stylish hand towel can make all the difference.

The dining room is a symphony of natural wood where a long, solid wood table takes center stage, surrounded by matching wooden chairs. BUT. What strikes us the most is what you see above. Yep. That light fixture! It's like a soft, cloud-like sculpture, that has a super gentle glow. Your gaze is then effortlessly drawn through to the kitchen, showcasing those warm wood cabinets and a window that frames a vibrant green outdoor scene.

And now, the bathroom! We love those teal penny tiles that scatter the bathroom walls, and that luxurious marble countertop with its integrated sink screams elegance! Not particularly fans of the mirrored cabinets but the delicate brass frames do enhance the sense of spaciousness and beautifully reflect the soft glow of that multi-bulb pendant light.

All in all, the extensive use of wood, brick, and stone creates a strong connection to nature and imbues the home with warmth and texture. Each and every space feels intentional and designed to promote a sense of peace and well being and we are here for it!
